Our client, world market leader in the processing special metals and offering a variety of related products and extensive services for customers in different industries.

Our client is looking for an Interim Manager “Head of IT” (m/f/d) taking control of all operative control IT-related processes, structures, and procedures to ensure a positive impact on the overall long-term development of the company.

The function supports the current business applications, plant and business infrastructure and management of all external IT vendors and relationships. The candidate will also be responsible for managing, assessing and developing the IT team to ensure a high level of support for the business and to develop the long-term IT strategy aligned with the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development of the overall corporate strategy and ensure its implementation in the area of responsibility
  • Ensuring the development and implementation of companywide general IT strategy
  • Ensuring the development and realization of projects to optimize and standardize IT structures and processes within the company
  • Ensuring the development and the implementation of improvements to the ERP landscape
  • Ensuring the development and the implementation of data protection strategy
  • Ensuring that day-to-day business is accomplished by coordinating efforts within the IT department
  • Ensuring the collaboration with work councils regarding IT relevant topics (e. g. data protection)
  • Ensuring the definition, monitoring, analysis and reporting of the department's key performance indicators
  • Executing the leadership of the IT team including coordination, motivation, supervision and identification of development requirements of personnel
  • Identifying effectively external IT partners and vendors
  • Engaging with the business and plant leadership to understand and monitor how IT is supporting and helping the business
  • Managing technology in a diverse environment while driving strategies to upgrade and improve underlying IT-environment

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • Proven track record in managing complex IT-organisations for production companies (Aluminum, other metals or other relevant industry experience strongly desired)
  • Proven track record in re-engineering the IT-function according to the overall corporate strategy
  • Strong ability to execute conceptual designs and to change perceptions and attitudes of teams
