Our client, a technology company, is a newly formed joint venture.

A dynamic Director Accounting (m/f/d) ad interim is sought to relieve the CFO.

 

Responsible for 3 teams:

  • Consolidation, General Ledger, Tax, Audit
  • Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable;
  • Payroll/ Time management


 Goals:

  • Leading and developing the accounting function and teams for the group, end to end
  • Ensure the integrity of all financial information in accordance with accounting principles (IFRS and local)
  • Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
  • Financial consolidation
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating the year-end close process with internal and external auditors
  • In charge of overall tax compliance
  • Work with ERP and FP&A teams on improving processes and systems
  • Improve and maintain company's internal control system
  • Hiring, training and retaining competent accounting managers and staff
  • Collaboration and responsibility for special projects/sub-projects (M&A, mergers, etc.)


Main Tasks

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to the required standards (OR and IFRS) incl. consolidation and required audits
  • Regular monitoring of cash management and liquidity control
  • Ongoing and improvement of accounting processes incl. payroll accounting and ICS
  • Ensuring successful completion of the company’s direct and indirect tax filings
  • Manage monthly payroll and operate time management process
  • Manage shareholder affairs from an accounting perspective
  • Operational cash management and liquidity control


 Responsibilities (team, resources)

  • Responsible for the technically correct and timely execution of the above-mentioned tasks
  • Responsibility for the accuracy of the business data in terms of form and content
  • Competencies in accordance with the organisational regulations and competency regulations of the Group

  • Internal: CFO, ERP/Systems, HR, Legal, line managers/cost center managers
  • Persons responsible for participations of the Shareholders, Group Accounting of the Shareholders as well as various other partners
  • Auditors / Banks
  • Tax authorities
  • Employees for payroll & time management issues

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • +10 years of experience in accounting
  • People Management experience (management of a larger Accounting department)
  • Experience in financial consolidation
  • Experience with IFRS
  • Knowledge of SWISS GAAP FER
  • In-depth knowledge of Tax
  • Experience with quoted, larger corporates
  •  Very good MS Office skills (especially Excel)
  • ERP experience (Abacus, Workday)
  • Generally high IT and ERP affinity
  • Experience with consolidation software
  • Experience in project management, especially project leadership
  • Experience in transformation processes, PMI
