Our client is an internationally active retail group and is looking for a Senior Director (m/f/d) Pricing Strategy to fill a vacancy. The current holder of the position will temporarily no longer work in this position, but will accompany the familiarization process.


TARGETS OF POSITION

  • Guide the conceptual development and implementation of the Group Pricing Strategy and support the set-up of the sub-function Marketing Analytics
  • Assure the buy-in and support of all relevant stakeholders from top management, other functions, and country organizations


MAIN TASKS OF POSITION

  • Strategically lead the global strategic pricing and marketing analytics team, strongly leveraging existing know-how and building on previous development
  • Further develop group pricing and margin management strategy and assure consistency with company strategy as well as all other functional strategies (esp. Marketing, Sales, IT) 
  • Derive implementation initiatives to realize strategic ambition, i.e., professionalize and harmonize pricing process, methods, and tools across the group
  • Contribute to positive development of operative pricing KPIs with centrally steered strategic and business/ad-hoc driven initiatives
  • Create awareness and assure buy-in of key stakeholders from C-level to regional pricing managers by personal interaction, written and personal presentation
  • Enable further development of margin management solutions as well as build-up of cross-functional marketing analytics
  • Assure quality of pricing work and stepwise development towards industry leading pricing
  • Drive strategic ad-hoc topics by her-/himself for the board and Marketing Lead
  • Prepare, align, and communicate top management presentations
