The Situation

In order to fill the vacancy as quickly and as effectively as possible after the previous position holder leaves the company, and to use the appropriate expertise for the implementation of measures to reorganize and reposition the department, the company decided to employ an HR interim manager.

The Scope

Operational and conceptual support in implementing measures for reorganizing and repositioning the HR department; project management (including organizing this year's employee survey and controlling the implementation of measures derived from the results of the employee survey; and conceptual development of the global payroll and HR information system) as well as ensuring the smooth handling of day-to-day business with a focus on global recruiting and training & development.

Maren Schmeling

Dipl.-Soz. (Univ.), Interim Manager

The Outcome

In addition to the efficient handling of day-to-day business and professional project management, Ms. Schmeling has succeeded in providing important impulses in the form of tools and communication approaches. Due to the successful cooperation, the mandate was extended from an initial six-month term to 1 ½ years.

Maren is an extremely pragmatic HR-professional who solves problems wherever she finds them. She has a dry and understated way of both talking and working. She is hard to throw off balance, regardless of what comes her way. She has clear values that she sticks to and about which she openly speaks her mind. She is a pleasure to work with.
