Aufgabenstellung

Our client, a well known interim management provider, is assigned to find a Senior Sales Director (m/f/d) ad interim for a business division of a larger Group in the construction and building sector.

 

The Group maintains only sales operations in Germany and acquired in the past smaller competitors in Germany. The entities are yet not really integrated; thus a no. of Post-Merger Integration activities is on the agenda of the Sales Director.

 

Additionally, the following main tasks are on the agenda:       

  • to manage the German sales teams of +250 people located in 7 different locations in Germany
  • to improve the sales performance and implement a new Sales Operating Model
  • to realign and to improve the HR processes
  • to develop the competences of the sales teams (customer understanding, sales techniques, product knowledge)
  • to drive collaboration within the sales teams and with all the other functions
  • to support and to accelerate cultural change

Anforderungen & Kenntnisse

Anforderungen

  • Proven track record in sales within the btB segment; ideally construction and building
  • Substantial experience in leading and empowering large, decentralised sales teams
  • First-hand experience with post-merger integration initiatives with sales organisations
