Our client, an international consultancy supporting an automotive company in an acquisition process, is looking for a Technical Due Diligence Expert – Automotive Interior/Exterior & NVH (m/f/d) ad interim to assess production set-up, technologies and processes at the selected target and summarize the findings in an independent audit report and/or presentation.

The scope includes a structured onsite production visit and a clear, forward-looking assessment of technical robustness, competitiveness and future viability.

Main tasks:

• Prepare and conduct an onsite production visit to assess production conditions, manufacturing processes and technologies in a structured manner
  
• Evaluate relevant Interior/Exterior and NVH product areas (e.g., PUR foams, trims, seating, sewing, acoustic & thermal absorbers, vacuum forming, damping systems, structural NVH solutions, lightweight materials)
  
• Critically challenge and assess current production methods and technology set-up regarding robustness, industrial performance and scalability
  
• Assess technology maturity, industrial feasibility and ramp-/scale-readiness incl. key risks, constraints and dependencies
  
• Provide a forward-looking perspective on future trends, regulatory impact and evolving OEM requirements impacting the target’s technology positioning
  
• Create a stand-alone technical due diligence audit report and/or management presentation incl. clear conclusions on competitiveness and long-term relevance

• Proven senior-level experience within automotive Interior/Exterior and NVH components & production technologies
  
• Deep understanding of product architectures, material technologies and manufacturing processes within the NVH sector
  
• Substantial experience in assessing technology maturity, scalability and industrial feasibility and translating findings into a clear, decision-ready narrative
  
• Proven experience in evaluating technology competitiveness and differentiation, incl. an informed perspective on future viability in the automotive market
