Our client, a globally active technology group headquartered in Germany, is seeking an experienced interim executive to lead the Finance department across two US locations.

The role of VP Finance (m/f/d) ad interim will ensure end-to-end financial oversight, optimize planning and reporting processes, and serve as a key business partner to the global CFO.


Core tasks:

  • Full responsibility for accounting, controlling, tax, compliance, and legal topics at two US sites (East Coast and North Central)
  • Managing month-end and year-end closings in accordance with US GAAP and (ideally) German GAAP
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and business case development
  • Analyzing key financial metrics and translating insights into strategic initiatives
  • Close cooperation with the President and German headquarters
  • Direct leadership of the Accounting, Controlling, and IT departments
  • Support for ERP implementation and internal restructuring initiatives
  • Acting as a sparring partner to the executive team and CFO
  • Optimizing cost center structures and internal control systems
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • Experience as a Finance Executive or VP Finance in international industrial companies, ideally in machinery or pharma/MedTec manufacturing
  • Extensive experience in accounting, controlling, and financial leadership, including WIP and project-based cost accounting
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, familiarity with German GAAP is a plus
  • The candidate must be living in the USA
