Our client, a solution provider (software and consulting) in the life science sector, is looking for a Head of Sales US (m/f/d) ad interim to accelerate sales growth in the US market by leveraging an established professional network and closing opportunities during a transitional period.


Main tasks:

  • Leverage (own) industry network to identify, approach, and qualify potential clients and build a strong US pipeline
  • Develop and execute a short-term US sales strategy aligned with global commercial initiatives
  • Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end (prospecting, discovery, proposal, negotiation, closing) with strong follow-up discipline
  • Ensure accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting, providing transparency on pipeline and conversion
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to align messaging and improve lead-to-opportunity conversion
  • Interface with the EU sales team and Consulting Partners to ensure coordinated market approach and handovers

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • Proven track record in B2B software sales/business development in the US, including consistent pipeline creation and deal closing
  • Substantial experience in leveraging an established professional network to generate qualified leads (ideally in relevant software segments)
  • Experience in managing the full sales cycle and delivering reliable forecasting and opportunity management
  • Deep understanding of short-term sales strategy execution in a transitional or high-change environment
  • MUST: The candidate must be living in the USA
