For our client, an internationally operating management consultancy, we are looking for an Executive Logistics Consultant (m/f/d) who will support a postal company to develop a decoupled maintainable and expandable IT system landscape for the core logistics department. 

Main tasks:

• Provide a technical and organizational framework for a postal company to allow development of a decoupled, maintainable and expandable IT system landscape for the core logistics
  
• Compare solutions with other postal and logistics service companies. What are possible solutions and best practice target states for the product, network and routing dimension etc.
  
• Maturity assessment of current situation and validation of current scope and objectives of the program as well as analysis of current roadmap and projects
  
• Development and evaluation of different target scenarios and comparison towards peers – What are solutions within product, network & routing
  
• Develop strategic business target states End-2-End Routing & dynamic and automated log. Network
  
• Evaluate scenarios in the dimensions of impact, dependencies, needed adjustments technology and high-level business case
  
• Find target architecture and rough cost estimation for each scenario
  
• Define needed target scenario as well as high-level roadmap necessary to reach it
  

Note: This project is part of a proposal. The actual project will be subject to our client winning the proposal. Due to our client being in the proposal phase, the final decision for selecting the candidate can take some time.

• At least 15 years of experience in strategy for logistics and/or postal service companies with IT context as a consultant and/or in internal roles in a larger organization (> 5,000 employees)
  
• Proven participation in a project at a postal service company with the subject of the conception of a strategy in the field of Logistical Network and/or End-2-End automated Routing of shipments (naming of contact at the reference company)
