Our client is a renowned management consultancy with a mandate with a manufacturer of household appliances. To complement the consulting team, an expert is sought who has relevant experience in the area of Indirect Purchasing with a focus on marketing spend (focus on agency models). The categories in this area include Creative & Brand Strategy, Content Creation, Fairs & Events, et al.


The assignment in the project team is planned for 1-2 days per week in the form of workshops. In the period from September to probably December, workshops will be held at the end customer in southern Germany, part of the project will also take place remotely.


The aim of the project is to develop an agency management model incl. identification of remuneration potential, reduction and optimization of agency base, management of asset adaptation and content creation. Specifically, tasks include:

  • Setup of an agency management model concept. - The model should include a differentiation between different agency types and should also outline inhousing potentials where applicable.
  • Project approach should comprise two major aspects:
    1. Pilots for CGI and Internal Communication: transparency to be created on content commissioning. A limited set of suppliers to be defined. Set of criteria to be established and a make or buy decision support should be provided
    2. Remuneration model concept and pilots: Best practices to be analyzed in more detail to fully understand the underlying success factors. Concept creation incl. roll-out plan according to each ESN/ spend category.
  • Implementation of two pilots (CGI, Internal Communication)
  • Preparation of global, regional and country rollouts
