Our client, an international management consultancy, is looking for an Automotive Aftermarket Pricing Expert (m/f/d) ad interim for an international company in the automotive supplier industry. The aim is to develop and implement a holistic and sustainable pricing strategy for the European aftermarket business. The role aims to analyze the existing pricing setup in depth, optimize it and align it strategically for long-term success.


Note: This project is part of a tender. The actual assignment depends on whether our client is awarded the contract for the project. Due to the tender process, the decision may take longer. Information on duration and availability is for initial guidance only and will be finalized in personal discussions with the client.


Main tasks:

  • Analysis of the current status regarding pricing strategy, price setting, governance and pricing tools
  • Development of a sustainable and strategic pricing approach including value-based pricing and harmonization across regions
  • Identification and quantification of significant improvement potentials in pricing with clear impact on sales and profitability
  • Enablement of the organization and creation of a clear road map for implementation
  • Design of operative pricing concepts such as price setting, rebate and bonus structures and price monitoring
  • Implementation of methods and tools in the field of pricing excellence, including governance, automation and the use of AI

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • Several years of experience as a pricing expert in the automotive aftermarket, ideally with suppliers and with focus on the European market
  • Proven expertise in developing pricing strategies (e.g., market intelligence, competitive vs. value-based pricing, product portfolio segmentation)
  • Deep knowledge of pricing excellence, governance, tools and the application of artificial intelligence
  • Expertise in operative pricing (price setting, rebate and bonus systems, price monitoring)
