Our client, a holding company with about 280 employees, manages  approx 50 subsidairies across Europe.

 

The core competencies oft the group are multichannel sales and the production of MRO goods, such as tools and chemical products for the automotive and industry sectors and the building trade.

On the holding level, our client is looking for an International Marketing Director (m/f/d) at interim


Major Tasks:

  • Define the group marketing and branding strategy, aligned with company values and strategy
  • Create an omnichannel group marketing plan in coordination with other Marketing & Sales departments and with regional heads of Marketing supporting the regions to engage and retain customers as well as grow the value of the European customer platform
  • Develop, implement, monitor and steer all marketing activities, managing the necessary projects in oder to reach a higher level of harmonization in terms of marketing planning, content creation, campaign management and marketing communication through the Group
  • Create omnichannel marketing packages and campaigns to be used in the subsidiaries
  • Steer digital activities with guidelines and requirements in cooperation with other Holding departments, in oder to fulfill the marketing plan implementation
  • Define and manage the necessary marketing and personnel budget
  • Manage Marcom activities (e.g. brand guidelines, CD, CI)
  • Develop central systems and tools to support the harmonization of marketing activities throughout the entire Group
  • Periodically analyze the customer segments needs and trends (e.g. touchpoints)
  • Build and maintain a marketing operations network throughout all regions, as well as build and maintain a network of external services providers (e.g. creative agencies) for campaigning or communication tasks
  • Build and maintain the Group marketing communication guidelines (e.g. Corporate Design)

Requirements & Expertise

Requirements

  • Diploma or Master‘s degree in Business or Business Administration with focus on
  • marketing or sales
  • Extended experience in marketing management, leading complex marketing departments, especially in a multicultural environment
  • Many years of working experience in the field of international program and project management
  • Extended leadership experience in operative marketing and/or with sales organizations, in order to cover the leadership challenges within an international matrix organization
  • Extended experience in marketing budget management
  • Extended experience in scouting, selecting and managing external marketing agencies
  • Experience in harmonization projects of local activities in multinational organizations
  • Experience in B2B retail and/or direct sales companies beneficial
  • Know-how in people and stakeholders management
  • Change management and excellent communication skills
