Our client, a hidden Champion, has opened a new production facility in Russia (vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, etc.).

To bridge the vacant position “Sourcing & Procurement Manager (m/f/d) our client is looking for an Interim Manager (m/f/d).

As part of the core management team and direct report to the plant director you ensure that the company is buying raw materials, components for production, equipment's and services with very competitive prices, reliable supply and good quality. The main goal: to have a reliable and competitive supply chain to fulfill market demands.

 

You are leading and developing a small team of people and supporting them in crucial decision-making processes and risk management.

As manager of the procurement team you are responsible for the talent management inside your team and the detection of potential high performers.

 Tasks in detail:

• Responsible for the development and implementation of the global / local commodity and supplier strategies  
  
• Definition of cost targets for commodity related goods (raw materials, parts, components, services, others)
  
• Supervision of the achievement of agreed targets on a global / local base and initiation of corrections, if necessary
  
• Specification of supplier competitive analyses
  
• Supplier assessments according to the corporate audit guidelines
  
• Generation of commodity action plans for the target achievement of the commodity purchasing strategies on local and in cooperation with the global commodity management.
  
• Analysis of international sourcing markets and provision of market and supplier information or the purchasing organization
  
• Management and development of  suppliers and development of suppliers
  
• Accountability for the global use of the (SLC) supplier life cycle processes, it means:
  
• Registration, Onboarding, Qualification, Classification, Evaluation and Development including, continuous improvement,
  
• Supplier data maintenance in the SLC in good quality
  
• Phase out and blocking in cooperation with responsible departments.
  
• Stakeholder for the life cycle processes including supplier rating
  
• Driver for supplier innovations, it means responsible for the identification and monitoring of supplier
  
• innovations (new technologies, materials, processes, IT-tools, equipment, others) including their evaluations and implementation
  
• Organization of supplier innovation days 
  
• Strategic and supplier agreements
  
• Monitoring of KPIs for strategic initiatives and goal tracking of commodities global and regional
  


• Commodity reporting and performance measurement. Reporting of regional data to the central departments.
  
• First escalation level in case of commodity related (supplier-)problems

• Fluent in Russian and English communication skills as well as the ability to communicate with different stakeholders and hierarchies.
  
• Expertise in negotiation and purchasing tools, knowledge of the Russian market for various material groups like electrical components, motors, plastics, resins, metal parts (machined, forged, injected, bended, etc), packagings, etc.
  
• Knowledge and experience working with suppliers in Russia
  
• A university degree in engineering, administration or similar. 
  
• Several years working experience in the Sourcing & Procurement area related to the mass production of machines, consumer goods or technical components (e.g. home appliances, automotive, machinery)
  
• Solid knowledge of ERP (SAP), APQP and other continuous improvement methods are also desirable.
  
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in a global organization paired with a motivating and participative leadership style.
  
• Hands-on mentality coupled with customer centricity and a strong commercial mindset.
  
• Networking and cooperation with global stakeholder and the central procurement department.
