Aufgabenstellung

Our client, a well-known PE-company, acquired recently an industrial repair & service provide from an industrial conglomerate.

The acquired company is a global leader in cost-effective repair and maintenance solutions. 

With over 1.000 employees the company operates globally and generates over € 200 m sales, approx. 50% of that within Europe.  

With the carve out it will be necessary to secure a seamless transition of the IT platform. The role of the CIO will be established and reports to the Group CFO.


Main tasks & duties of the CIO:

  • Responsibility for managing and developing all IT systems within the Group
  • Ensure that all systems necessary to support the company´s operations and objectives are in place
  • Information risk management (IRM)
  • Establish IT policies, strategies and standards as well as process optimizations
  • Implement global IT Service Management
  • Leading all current and future IT-related projects worldwide
  • IT planning and budgeting with cost responsibility
  • Cooperation with current IT service provider with strict control of costs and results
  • Approve vendor negotiations and IT architecture
  • Building up/coordination of the company's own IT Team
  • Implementation of a new ERP system
  • Close cooperation with central and local management teams

Anforderungen & Kenntnisse

Anforderungen

The candidate fulfills the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT executive with experience in international companies, operating with independent branches (Americas and Asia)
  • Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role
  • Successfully rolled out ERP projects in an diverse and international environment (on-time and in budget)
  • Expertise with one of the „big“ standard ERP programs (SAP, Oracle, NAV etc.) – BaaN Infor LN knowledge is a strong plus
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering
  • Commercially savvy, ability to understand business processes and organisations fast and to transfer this knowledge into IT action plans
  • Excellent understanding of commercial consequences of IT implementations
  • Structured and logic way of thinking, paired with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to build teams, engage and motivate teams in an diverse and international organisation
  • Strong communication skills, meaning active listening, excellent presentation skills, leading negotiations
  • Comfortable in working in a fast-changing landscape and with the responsibility and pressure that comes with leading a business to success
